My order is a gift, can you include a message for the recipeint?
Definitely, I would be happy to include a card for you with a handwritten message at no extra charge. Just leave your gift message in the "instructions to seller" box at checkout.
How long will my order take to be shipped?
I personally handmake and ship each order. Depending on order volume, it can take 1- 3 business days before shipping. During the busy holidays it may take longer so be sure to check on shipping timeframes. You will receive a tracking email once your order ships. I package terrariums very carefully to prevent breakage and things being tossed around. I guarantee the safe arrival of your order.
I'm in a rush, can you deliver an item by a certain date?
Please contact me to see if it is possible. I will do my best to make your order a priority and get it rushed out. Of course, once it ships, I cannot guarantee any Post Office delivery times. I can also postpone shipment if needed.
How long can my Marimos stay packaged up without water?
Marimos are packaged slightly moist in a small zip lock baggie. They can remain without water for up to 3 weeks as long as they are kept in a cool location. It is best to keep the marimos in their baggie, inside of the refrigerator.
How do I care for my Marimos?
Marimos are simple to care for. They can live in any light ranging from artificial light to bright indirect light. Do not expose them to direct sun. Water should be changed once a week in summer and once every two weeks in winter. Tap water is fine, I do recommend using some type of bottled, rain or filtered water for the long run to keep your Marimo as healthy as possible. It also helps keep the vase clean if you have hard tap water. No fertilization needed.
Can I choose more than one color of pebbles to be mixed together for my Marimo aquarium order?
Of course, just leave me a message at checkout with the colors you would like.
Can I cancel my order?
You may cancel an order up to 24 hours following a purchase as long as the item has not been shipped. Custom orders cannot be cancelled with the exception of extreme circumstances and will be determined by the shop owner.
Can my lichen terrarium be shipped already assembled instead of as a kit?
Unfortunately not, lichens lie on a bed of pebbles, not soil and would be crushed during the shipping process. It is super easy to assemble though and includes detailed instructions along with a color photo of it already assembled.
